Direct admission to a master's program in Canada is extremely tough due to the following factors:
Requires 16 years of education, whereas in India, 15 years of education is the norm (B.A., B.Com. B. Sc., etc.).
Universities provide master's degree programs, which are generally research-based.
Only a few seats are available for international students, and Canadian citizens and students already studying in Canada are given precedence.
Students can enroll in one or two-year graduate diploma courses offered by SPP Colleges. The benefits are as follows:
Contributes to the 16-year study requirement for master's degree admission.
SPP College's teaching-based course helps in the adjusting to the teaching practices.
When compared to university programs, these programs have lower tuition fees.
Students can apply for a work permit after completing the course; if they studied for one year, they can apply for a work permit for one year, and if they studied for two years, they can apply for a work permit for three years.

Working on campus:
On-campus employment openings are publicized on bulletin boards at all schools and institutions. If you are a full-time student with a valid study permit and a valid social insurance number, you may be granted permission to work on-campus at your institution.
Off-campus employment:
If an overseas student wants to work off campus after six months of study, he can apply for an off-campus work permit. This permit will allow the student to work off-campus for a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Working as part of a co-op/internship program:
Work experience is a requirement in several educational programs. i.e., you must work in order to complete your studies in Canada. You'll need a co-op/internship work permit for this. To be considered, you must have a valid study permit as well as a letter from your Institute stating that work is an important element of your studies.

The post-graduate work visa in Canada permits students to stay in Canada after graduation and gain work experience. Students must, however, have earned a diploma from a recognized Canadian university. A work permit is available to graduates of certain designated learning institutes (DLIs).
You are not automatically eligible for a PGWP after graduating from a DLI. An applicant has 180 days after receiving their final grades to apply for a PGWP. Also, check to see if your study permit will expire before you receive your final grades.
The PGWP permits international students to get work experience in Canada after graduating from a participating post-secondary college or university. In the long run, PGWP job experience helps international graduates apply for PR (permanent residency) in Canada through the Express Entry program.
Foreign Credential Validation against Canadian Standards
To study or work in Canada, newcomers must get their foreign licenses and certifications recognized. This is foreign credential recognition. The compliance with federal, provincial, and territorial standards will be confirmed by an authorized individual. They look at your international education, language abilities, and professional experience.
You must have your certificates and/or diplomas analyzed against Canadian education standards if you were educated outside of Canada. When applying for a job in the public sector or if you want to study further education in Canada, you'll be able to show that your international credentials are similar to Canadian standards.
