On dependent visas, international students can bring their immediate families to the UK to study.
They have their own set of requirements for dependent visas in the United Kingdom. Other relatives, such as brothers, parents, sisters, or cousins, are not eligible to apply as dependents.
Dependent Visa holders will have full employment rights in the United Kingdom. They are not, however, permitted to work as a doctor in training.
Dependent visas are divided into two categories:
Temporary: Holders of visas are granted temporary visas. Work, student, fiancé, intra-company transfer
permanent: permanent visas are for spouses or children under the age of 18-21. Immigration dependents
Classified as a dependent:
· Your husband or wife (age 18 or over)
· Your civil partner or unmarried partner (age 18 or over)
· Your children (age under 18)
Eligibility For Applying for Dependent Visa:
Applicants must have a valid passport.
The sponsor must have adequate financial resources to support the dependents.
Work and income proof of the sponsor.
Medical examination and evidence of adequate insurance for dependents.
Filled application with enclosed fee.
Financial requirements:
Dependents must have sufficient funds to pay the cost of living in the UK as part of the immigration application. £680 per month that the visa is valid, up to a maximum of nine months.
Six months of bank statements must be submitted, clearly showing monthly pay and financial obligations. Other than salaries, no major cash deposits should be made. The total amount saved must be at least twice the amount spent on your projected vacation to the United Kingdom.
