For Undergraduate Courses

• Because German college admissions are extremely tough, you must have a minimum score of 90% in 12th grade. In addition, the student must take JEE or complete one year of their Bachelor's degree in their home country.

• Proof of Language Proficiency (German or English)

• To enroll in a Bachelor's degree program in Germany taught in the German language, you must demonstrate proficiency in the language at the C1 level of the CEFR or DSH II.

For Postgraduate/Master’s Course

• To apply to German universities for a Master's Program, you must have completed a Bachelor's Degree that is at least four years long. Otherwise, you will not be able to attend German public universities.

• However, you can still study in Germany if you have a three-year bachelor's degree.   If you apply to private universities in Germany, a bachelor's degree of  three years is acceptable. There are 19 private universities and 93 private universities of applied sciences in the United Kingdom.

• A DSH I or DSH II level of German language knowledge is required for participation in a Master's German study program.
  

Advanced Diploma

Graduation or relevant qualification from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% in UG relevant examination.

The following certificates are widely recognized by German higher education institutions as proof of German language proficiency at the c1 level of the CEFR:

• DSH Certificate (Level 2-above).

• TestDaF Certificate (Minimum 4 points in 4 of its sections).

• GDS Certificate (C2 Level-above).

• Language Certificate of the Education Ministers’ Conference (Level 2 with C2 in each of its sections).

The following certificates are commonly accepted as proof of English language ability for academic study in Germany:

• IELTS Scores. You must have an IELTS score of at least 4.5 (B1) or 5.0 (C1) (B2).

• TOEFL Scores. Evidence of passing TOEFL with a score of 450 (B1)/500 (B2) on the PBT (paper- based test), 130 (B1)/170 (B2) on the CbT (computer-based test), and 60 (B1)/80 (B2) on the IBT (internet-based test)

In Germany, there are no tuition fees for bachelor's and master's degree programs at public universities. This is because higher education is substantially subsidized by the government. Degree programs are offered in both German and, in some cases, English. A private university is attended by about 5% of the student population, but tuition fees will be charged in this case.

As a student, you are permitted to work for a total of 120 full or 240 half days every year. During the semester, the student would not be permitted to work more than 20 hours a week. During their holidays, students have jobs and work full-time. International students in Germany are paid a minimum wage of €9.19 per hour (2019), with students earning more depending on their job. Students who wish to work longer hours must obtain approval from a federal employment agency as well as a foreign office. If you work at the university as a student assistant or research assistant, it is usually not counted against your limit. The Working model limit you are assigned is not guidance, and you will be expected to pay for health insurance and work.

Germany has been known for its manufacturing industry and industrial expansion since a long time.  One of the most essential deciding criteria when choosing a country to study in is the availability of post-study work permits. While Eu nationals do not require any special permission, students with Indian passports must apply for a residence permit after completing their education at a German university. The immigration regulations allow students to apply for and then receive an 18-month residence visa to look for work based on their qualifications.

After passing your final exams, you can apply for a work permit right away. To apply for a work permit, you'll need your passport, your university diploma, and proof of health insurance.

Germany's economy is the largest in Europe and the fourth largest in the world, making it an excellent destination to launch your career. Germany's economy is strong, and work opportunities for fresh graduates are abundant. Job postings are posted on university bulletin boards, so you can keep track of them while you're still in school. Graduates from non-EU/EEA countries can work in Germany after completing their studies if their residence permit is extended for up to 18 months after graduation. These 18 months begin as soon as your final examinations are completed. Some good sectors for students to work include sales, medical professionals, scientific research, ICT experts, engineers, finance/accounting, teacher, administrative roles, and hotel industry professionals.
